I am a native of Buffalo, New York but currently reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree both in Education from D’Youville College. I honorably served in the United States Navy for three years before being medically discharged. Following the military I went on to serve as an Educator for 17 years until I retired in 2015. I currently serve as an advocate for veterans with the Disabled American Veterans, where I became the First Female Commander for the state of North Carolina in June of 2016. My life goal is to Enlighten, EnCOURAGE, and Empower people of all ages and give them a lifelong love for reading, learning, and self-improvement.
